Sooo frustrated with my doctor. Called on Monday saying I was very sick and they couldn’t take me, had an appointment today already as a followup to my last appointment, so I was like “okay, fine, I can make it to Wednesday.” Well, they called a few hours before my appointment today and canceled it.
I was all like “Wait, what?!” and she’s like “we’ll call in an antibiotic” and I’m like “actually, I think I have a cold and wanted to make sure.” Then she gives just the biggest bs answer ever, “Well, the antibiotic won’t hurt anything.” Yeah, because giving people antibiotics when they don’t need them is just totes advisable.
I’m switching doctors. My sister really likes hers (ie: he’ll get her whatever she wants), so I’ll try to get an appointment with him at some point. I’m just so frustrated, I have to put up with so much bullshit from these people. Like, I was talking about how I was sensitive to anti-depressants and the fuckers put down that I have depression, even though I specifically said my neurologist was trying them out for my fibro.
